New Training Programme to support leadership skills for Leicestershire businesses

The Business Gateway Growth Hub has launched a new training programme for business owners in Leicester and Leicestershire looking to develop their leadership skills called Transform to Grow.

The new pilot programme starts on 25 January 2024 and will support the growth and development of businesses trading for a minimum of 12 months, with five or more employees.

Similar programmes such as Peer Networks have been the success story of recent years enabling business owners to build and strengthen their organisations through a trusted support network.

Transform to Grow will be facilitated by Maria Peggs of Vispera (pictured), an award-winning growth specialist. It will enable 12 business owners to share ideas, collaborate and network with fellow entrepreneurs at a similar stage in their business growth journey.

There will be 5 online sessions, of three hours each. Sessions will run from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and include the following topics.

• 25 Jan – Values: Impact of your personal values on quality and the business
• 1 Feb – Change: How to manage all forms effectively
• 15 Feb – Pricing: The Most Powerful Profit Lever
• 29 Feb – Leadership: Understand Your Style
• 14 Mar – Resources: Effective Management

There will also be a celebration lunch at the end of the programme.

What the programme includes:

• Facilitated Peer group setting with 12 business leaders, sharing wisdom, knowledge and advice
• Training on key leadership and business development
• Business mentoring (2 hours each person).
• In-person lunch to celebrate the programme outcomes.

This programme is fully funded for eligible businesses.
