Business owners and their staff are advised to allow more time for their journey if they travel on or around the M42 J9 to J10 during the Christmas and New Year period.
The M42 will be closed between J9 and J10 for HS2 works. The closure period will be:
Southbound closure
9pm Friday 23 December 2022 to 5am Tuesday 3 January 2023
Northbound closure
5pm Saturday 24 December 2022 to 5am Tuesday 3 January 2023
This will allow Balfour Beatty Vinci to undertake works that will enable the Marston Box bridge to be moved into position. A clearly signed diversion route will be in place over this period with advance signage in place to help remind motorists of the closure. You can still get to where you need to go but you’ll need to follow the diversion, plan ahead and leave more time for journey
