Learn more about Loughborough start-up incubator support

16 March 2023

Leicestershire startup founders are invited to learn more about gaining six months of free workspace and business development support.

LUinc. is staging a series of online and in-person drop-in sessions as it recruits for the fourth cohort of its Business Accelerator Programme.

The startup incubator – based on the Loughborough University campus – helps founders as they develop ideas for new businesses and social enterprises. But interested entrepreneurs will need to move quickly – the programme only runs twice a year and there are only a limited number of places remaining for the Spring intake.

You can register your interest now in joining the programme.

For those wanting to learn more, the LUinc. team has organised a series of events. They will be staged both online and in-person at the incubator’s base on the Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park (LUSEP).

You can register to attend now to learn more about what is available on the programme from team members including:

  • Pete Hitchings, Incubator Manager
  • Alex Taylor, Business Start-up
  • Programme Lead for local SMEs
  • Selected LUinc. business owners and founders.

The programme is provided in partnership with Charnwood Borough Council and Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP). It gives founders a range of funded support including:

  • Coaching – guidance on testing new ideas quickly as you set up and grow;
  • Accelerators – 12-week workshops offering mentorship, networking and motivation;
  • Connections – signposting and support with introductions to networks;
  • Workspace – access to flexible shared office space at Loughborough University Science and Enterprise Park and at the Careers and Enterprise Hub in Loughborough Town Centre;
  • Funding – the potential to access funding towards follow-on workspace (post-programme) for local entrepreneurs.

LUinc. is the Loughborough University incubator and brings together business founders from inside and outside the university ecosystem.

Recent graduates, university researchers, and local entrepreneurs work side-by-side as they launch dozens of new businesses as part of a supportive enterprise community. Learn more and register at https://bit.ly/LUincEvents
