Sponsors and hosts are invited to get involved in the Leicestershire Innovation Festival 2024.
February’s fortnight-long festival is set to be the biggest yet, with a programme packed with events for local businesses.
Organisations wishing to support the festival, through sponsorship or hosting events, can express their interest now.
Places for staging events under the festival banner are limited – as with the 2023 festival, only 20 slots are planned for 2024 in order to enable delegates to move easily between venues.
The fortnight will include the flagship LeicestershireLive Innovation Awards – run by festival media partner Reach – on the evening of Thursday 15 February.
Dr Nik Kotecha OBE DL, Chair of the LLEP’s Innovation Board, said:
“We’re aiming to significantly build on the success of the 2023 festival and planning is well underway.
“Discussions are advancing with Reach and a host of other public and private organisations for sponsorship.
“We’re actively developing ideas and growing partnerships to make the 2024 festival our biggest yet.”
LIF is a LLEP-led annual celebration of ideas and improvements in businesses of all sizes operating in Leicester and Leicestershire.
The LLEP has previously confirmed that the 2024 festival will be staged from Monday 5 February to Friday 16 February.
Last year’s festival was the biggest to date, attracting 1,200 registrations across the course of the festival fortnight.
Innovation is a key pillar of the LLEP’s Economic Growth Strategy through to 2030.
The LLEP Innovation Board is developing a Delivery Strategy, using innovation as a method of increasing regional productivity. It launched the Innovative Leicestershire brand as part of this year’s festival.
