Green BELLE grants are specifically for SMEs in Leicester and Leicestershire who would like to install low carbon and energy efficient measures in their premises. These include heating, lighting, insulation, renewable energy and other measures.
Grants are between £1,000 and £7,000 and provide up to 50% of the total cost of your proposed project.
Is your business eligible?
To apply for a Green BELLE grant, your business must meet these criteria:
- Your business and the premises in which you wish to install energy efficiency measures must be within Leicester or Leicestershire.
- It has fewer than 250 employees
- It has an annual turnover that does not exceed €50m or annual balance sheet that does not exceed €43m
- No more than 25% of the business is owned by an enterprise that is not an SME in itself
- It is within a sector eligible for support from EU funding programmes.
- Sectors that are NOT eligible include: banking and insurance; social welfare facilities like child-minding and nursing homes; farming and soil conservation; building and renovation of housing.
- Your business must not have received over €200,000 in De Minimis State Aid funding over the last three rolling years.
- Your business must not have received a Green BELLE grant previously.
