Funded leadership training for city SMEs most affected by pandemic

6 April 2022

Leicester City SMEs are being invited to register for the Help to Grow leadership and management programme by East Midlands Chamber.

The 12-week executive leaders programme is aimed at businesses particularly hit by the pandemic looking to recover and grow. It is part-funded by the Government, with the remaining 10% paid by participating businesses as a one-off upfront fee of £750. However, East Midlands Chamber is subsidising the £750 training fee for 100 eligible businesses.

Why take part?

  • Time. Commitment to the course is a staggered 50 hours over 12 weeks, allowing the training to sit comfortably alongside work commitments.
  • Access to practical knowledge. The programme is led by course tutors who have first-hand experience of the reality of working in a business and leading a team.
  • Practical plan of action. A valuable course outcome is a tailored Growth Action Plan for your business.
  • Investment in skills. Your managers will be equipped with the skills to boost productivity; innovate; and build resilience to future shocks, allowing your business to fulfil its potential.
  • Fully-subsidised. Businesses based in Leicester City (which has been selected by Government as a UK Community Renewal Fund area) are being offered an East Midlands Chamber subsidy which covers the £750 training fee for 100 eligible businesses, helping to aid recovery from coronavirus disruption.

The programmes take place online and in-person:

  • De Montfort University – Leicester Castle Business School: 25 April (online and Leicester)
