Supply Chain Sustainability – Managing the Environmental Risk to Business (and the impact on emissions)

The news on ESG/Sustainability is often dominated by a focus on carbon emissions (net zero) and new legislation on carbon reporting and disclosure. However, increasing legislation around biodiversity, deforestation and chemicals will impact on cost, availability and present significant risk to business if they do not plan ahead. We remain in a period of unprecedented supply chain disruption and competition for ‘green’ materials and supply chains will ensure this continues.

This webinar is delivered by Nottingham-based supplier engagement and sustainable transformation experts Supply Pilot and delivered on MS Teams.

So, what are some of the emergent risks in terms of materials and chemicals. Where do you start?

We will cover some of the changes from deforestation to green chemistry. This includes some of the “largest ever chemical legislation” which will include packaging, timber, leather, food, fire-retardants and non-slip coatings and therefore impact manufacturing supply chains from automotive and aerospace to construction.

On the day we will share and overview, introduction and practical considerations:

– What are some of the new areas and how to approach risk assessment for your business?
– What are the practical risks and implications around price and availability (competition for ‘green’ materials)?
– How to engage suppliers and understand their readiness and capability?
– How to be proactive; mitigate risk and gain competitive advantage?
– How can material sustainability reduce emissions and accelerate your product/supplier decarbonisation (Scope 3)?

Opportunity for Q&A. Discussion will be encouraged.
