*This network is open to all East Midlands businesses that make a product, no matter your size or sector *

We have laid strong foundations to make this and our other local networks across the East Midlands a success. How? By securing impressive host locations and by putting in place experienced facilitating leadership with a Chair & Vice-Chair. We now need you to come along and tell us what is most important to you and your business. We want to develop a trusted peer to peer environment between all the members, and shape the network to your needs – great or small!

The Leicestershire Network forms part of the umbrella East Midlands Manufacturing Network which is led by East Midlands Chamber.   The East Midlands Manufacturing Network unites local manufacturing companies, to enable members to harness the cross-industry, business, engineering and manufacturing knowledge necessary to evolve and expand. We provide members with opportunities to share their experiences with other industry professionals and obtain unique insights into new technologies, resources and information.

Who should attend?
Business owners, directors and Senior Leaders who take a strategic overall responsibility to grow their business. Often the agenda is set by business external factors that all businesses face. The East Midlands Manufacturing Network supports the manufacturers to help them to overcome business challenges in a trusted environment. This is a long term supportive network for manufacturing businesses of all sizes.

About the Chair: Mark Goldby
Mark has over 30 years of manufacturing & leadership experience in the High-Tech Electronics industry, initially with corporate giants GEC Plessey & Siemens & until March 2019 as co-founder/owner of SMS Electronics – a successful, Hi-Tech manufacturing company & prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise winner in 2012, the highest accolade that can be awarded to a UK business.

Mark sold his interest in SMS Electronics in 2019 enabling him to continue his work in giving back to the manufacturing sector & focus on his passion for UK PLC, Innovation & Exporting while taking time to talk to business leaders to increase the awareness & adoption of Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing. Mark also provides specialist consultancy drawing upon his sectorial & international trade expertise.

About the Vice Chair: Sandra Wiggins 
Sandra is co-founder and Managing Director of DPI UK Ltd. An East Midlands SME Manufacturer of interior soft signage display frames and lightboxes, helping the Brand, Advertising, Retail, and Design agencies create impactful immersive displays and environments.

An article was published in the parliamentary review on Good Business Practice in 2019 by Sandra offering insight and knowledge. She was Finalist for EMC Enterprising Women, Business Woman of the Year 2021, Outstanding Contribution to Work in STEM 2021, and DPI for the team of the year 2021.
