Leicester City and Leicestershire County Councils are inviting businesses to encourage their employees to take part in Cycle to Work Day on 5 August this year. There are numerous benefits to cycling including cost savings, improved mental and physical wellbeing as well as increased productivity.
Cycle to Work Day is a chance for everyone to enjoy the simple pleasure of riding a bike, whether they’ve not cycled in years or have never cycled at all. For those people still working from home, it’s an opportunity to cycle on in their lunch break or while running errands on the day.
Participants can track their journey through the Betterpoints app and there are prizes and giveaways to be had. Free bike maintenance checks are also being offered at various locations. More details on the website.
