University of Leicester
University of Leicester provide a variety of programmes underpinned by world-leading research to support companies develop their workforce. There is a number of part-time, distance and short training programmes across a wide range of disciplines and business areas.
Loughborough University is home to a Top 10 Business School and offers 100s of short courses to update skills, strengthen career development, enhance enterprise and entrepreneurship, or learn new skills. The University provides MBA programmes and a wide range of part-time management development programmes and short courses throughout the year.
A range of government programmes, are available for employers who are considering hiring employees, offering work experience or upskilling existing staff, some of which offer financial incentives.
Futures for Business
If you would like support developing your people you can access fully funded training (Levels 1-4) via this European Funded workforce support project. Specialist support is available for businesses going through restructures and redundancy.
Including employability skills to help individuals find alternative employment
CAPITB Trust is an independent charity providing support and funding for “people employed or about to be employed in the British clothing industry”. Each year it seeks to make donations to projects that will enhance skills within the British clothing industry. CAPITB Trust is a perpetual trust and will continue to fund fashion training as long as the need exists.
The CITB is the industry training board for the British construction sector. If you are part of this industry, visit their website to learn how you can benefit from training, funding and support they can offer your workforce.

Leicester Adult Education
This is Leicester City Council’s Adult Education Service.
It works to improve the lives of residents by working with partners, including employers, to raise aspirations, build achievement and protect the most vulnerable.
T Levels are qualifications to help you meet your skills needs. They are two year technical education courses that will follow GCSEs and will be equivalent to three A Levels. They’ve been developed in collaboration with employers, so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares students for work.
