An award-winning business mentor will be key speaker for Growth Hub’s Business Boost event
9 January 2024The LLEP Business Gateway Growth Hub has announced Maria Peggs as its key speaker for the ‘Business Boost: Elevate your Business Growth’ event this month. The event aims to help Leicestershire small business owners kickstart 2024 with growth advice, top tips and business support signposting.
Maria Peggs has over 30 years’ experience as a business mentor, facilitator and board adviser working with ambitious business owners who require specialist business skills and direction to achieve their growth potential. In 2022 she won the ‘Inspiring Mentor of the Year’ in the National Forward Ladies Awards and last year she gained a Silver Award for ‘Businesswoman of the Year’ in the Best Businesswomen Awards.
Maria will share her growth advice in a presentation for the Business Gateway on Wednesday 17 January at the Leicester Racecourse. She will also share details of a new, fully-funded training programme for ambitious leaders called Transform to Grow. The Business Boost event will include updates from the Business Gateway, support provider pitches, a marketplace, a round table chat on current business challenges and a networking lunch.
Sue Tilley, Head of Business, Innovation and Partnerships at the LLEP said: “We know our local businesses are still facing an extremely tough time. We hope this event, which will be informal and friendly, will give them a boost at the start of what is expected to be another challenging year. It will be an opportunity to hear some fantastic tips from Maria and connect with the right people to support them in a wide range of areas including business growth, finance, funding, training, 1-to-1 business advice and more.”
