SMEs Have Your Say: Help Shape the Local “Get Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Working” Plan
14 August 2025SMEs across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR) are being invited to share their views to help shape a major new plan to boost jobs and skills in the area.
The Get LLR Working Plan is part of the Government’s wider ambition to get more people into good jobs, increase skills, and grow the economy in a fair and inclusive way. Locally, the plan will guide how councils, training providers, health services, and other partners work together to:
-
Support businesses with recruitment
-
Reduce economic inactivity
-
Align training and skills with employer needs
-
Build a more responsive, inclusive labour market
This plan will also link to other key initiatives such as the Local Growth Plan, Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs), and the region’s Integrated Care Strategies.
We need your input
Local employers are being asked to take part in a short, anonymous questionnaire. Your feedback will help ensure the plan tackles the real challenges facing businesses, and makes the most of local opportunities.
The survey will focus on:
-
Your recruitment experiences
-
Skills needs in your workforce
-
How the local training and employment system could work better for you
By sharing your views, you’ll help shape a plan that improves access to talent, creates clearer pathways into work, and supports long-term economic growth across LLR.
Your insight is essential in making sure the Get LLR Working Plan works for both businesses and the community. All responses are completely anonymous and will only be used to guide the plan’s development.
