Farmers and land managers in need of strategic business guidance can now benefit from a new initiative funded by the Defra Future Farming Resilience Fund (FFRF).
DJM Consulting (DJMC) are offering up to two days of free, one-on-one strategic business advice to help navigate the ongoing changes in direct payments and agricultural policies.
This service is especially aimed at reaching those in remote or isolated locations who may lack internet access, phones, or a broad social network. Often, these individuals are the ones most in need of support but are unaware of available resources. DJMC’s goal is to ensure that all farmers, including those in hard-to-reach areas, can access essential business advice.
What Does the Service Include?
DJMC’s free advisory service, funded by FFRF, provides tailored support in several key areas, including:
* Strategic Planning
* Management and Development
* Land and Asset Enhancement
* Green Money
* Land and Environment Schemes
* Conflict Avoidance and Resolution
This initiative offers the same high-quality advice that DJMC typically provides on a fee-for-service basis, but at no cost to the participants. The aim is to help farmers and land managers understand and adapt to the removal of Basic Payment Schemes (BPS) and other changes in the agricultural sector.
How to Access the Free Advice
Farmers and land managers interested in this opportunity should register before the funding ends in February 2025. Registration requires only a Single Business Identifier (SBI) number and basic business information.
