The Department for International Trade has launched its new European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) for eligible East Midlands businesses. Match-funded grants of between £1000 and £9000 will be available for future activity.
Grants between £1,000 and up to £100,000 over up to 18 months for research projects to develop innovative technologies or products and services for the aerospace industry. Plus access to free support and events.
This scheme, run by Leicestershire County Council, aims to help projects that minimise household waste, reduce carbon emissions and improve biodiversity through new and innovative projects. Grants up to £3,000 available. Next round of funding closes on 26 February 2021.

Supporting Productivity Innovation & Growth – SPRING provides grant funding towards external costs of projects aiming to introduce new capabilities, enhanced capacity or a significantly improved product, process or service.
Grant funding towards external costs of innovation and product development projects. Up to £40,000 on capital projects with 30% contribution and £12,000 on revenue projects with 31% contribution.
Phase 2 is now open – offering grants from £1,000 to £7,000 to eligible SMEs in Leicester and Leicestershire towards the cost of energy efficiency measures.

NW Leicestershire District Council have a small grants programme to help support growing businesses on Coalville Market.
Fully funded support for 18-30 year olds from the Prince’s Trust that want to explore setting up their own business. Support includes workshops, one-to-one support, a £250 market test grant and access to low interest start up loans up to £5000.
Life Science companies in the LLEP area can access support to develop new and existing products and services. Innovation grants up to £20k, Med tech trials grants up to £50k and specialist networking event grants up to £3k.
