Event Details

Get ready for the EU’s most ambitious sustainability regulation yet! In this webinar discover how the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) will impact your business and what you need to do to stay compliant.

The EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) came into force on 18 July 2024.

This regulation’s rules will eventually apply to all products placed on the EU market, whether produced inside or outside the EU.

Hailing from the bloc’s Circular Economy Action Plan of March 2020 and building on the success of the Ecodesign Directive for energy related products, this is its most ambitious sustainability regulation yet, with its aim being to make environmentally sustainable products the norm across the EU.

For some sectors there are 1-2 years to prepare; but it is essential that UK businesses selling to the EU gain an appreciation of the regulation’s scope and the compliance obligations to ensure trade is uninterrupted.

Outcomes:

* What the ESPR regulation covers, and how it interacts with other EU and global regulations
* How to comply with eco-design from an EU perspective
* How the regulation relates to the destruction of unsold consumer products
