This online webinar explores the rights and remedies that consumers are entitled to, when entering into contracts with businesses involving goods, services and digital content.

Relevant case law and practical examples will be discussed to show how the law is applied in practice. This online webinar is aimed at all businesses that enter into contracts with consumers or who may be advising or supporting businesses who enter into contracts with consumers.

Providing a good overview of consumer rights and remedies for those new to the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as well as acting as a good refresher for those who work in consumer law or wish to update their knowledge

Sessions will be Delivered by :
Jemma Cox: is a CTSP and Trading Standards Officer, who has worked in Trading Standards for 15 years. She is a PGCE qualified tutor in law and business at Cardiff University, a role she has held for over 16 years. Jemma is the Lead Officer for Training and Professional Development for Trading Standards Wales and a CTSI Lead Officer, teaching and assessing on the CTSI Qualification. She is also a member of the CTSI Policy Committee and the host of the Ask the Regulator podcast.

Once completed, attendees will :

identify and explain the rights and relevant remedies that apply to goods contracts between traders and consumers

identify and explain the rights and relevant remedies that apply to service contracts between traders and consumers

identify and explain the rights and relevant remedies that apply to digital content contracts between traders and consumers

discuss relevant case law in these areas and how the law is applied in practice
