PM tells us all to stay at home
In an announcement given at 8.30pm on 23 March, the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has told the country to “Stay at Home”.
People must stay at home except for shopping for basic necessities as little as possible, exercise outside once a day, any medical need and travelling to and from essential work if you are unable to work from home.
Shops selling non-essential goods are being told to shut and gatherings in public of more than two people who do not live together are to be prohibited.
If the public fail to follow the rules police will have the powers to enforce them, including through fines and dispersing gatherings.
