Would your business strategy benefit from a review in light of current and future events related to Brexit? This workshop looks at risk factors and perceived challenges to help support your business.

East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) recognises the need to continue to provide information and support to businesses of all shapes and sizes as we continue to go through this period of unprecedented economic and political change.

With this in mind, the Chamber has arranged a new series of events, designed to assist business in preparing for Brexit.

This workshop is one of a series that is being organised and delivered by the Chamber in partnership with key stakeholders and local Chamber members, who are knowledgeable and experts in each of the respective event theme.

This workshop will aid in providing vital information to help you review and assess your Business Strategy in light of current and future events and take a realistic approach to Risk in times of significant uncertainty.

The workshop will be led by representatives from the University of Leicester.

In the workshop, you will be able to consider your options, share your concerns and ideas and ask questions in an interactive, open and supportive forum.

Topics likely to be mentioned include:

  • Likely business risks posed by Brexit
  • Key legislation
  • Perceived challenges
  • How it can potentially impact on your business
  • Risk factors in the economic and political environment
  • The potential impact of investment and growth plans
  • Risk management

Attendees will have a clearer understanding of the latest position on the Brexit negotiations, and how these might impact on future plans. They will also be able to understand different types of risk and how to assess and mitigate these risks when targeting markets.

This new series of Business Readiness for Change events are intended for business owners, operations directors, business continuity managers and strategic management professionals responsible for the medium and long-term operation of the business, and especially those individuals who are responsible for the development of strategy and the management and mitigation of risks.

This workshop is being kindly delivered by Chamber patron, University of Leicester.
